Advisory Council

Council members listen to a presentation from Sheila Oehrlein, Youth Programs Coordinator with the Minnesota Department of Education.

The 21st CCLC Advisory Council is made up of dedicated staff, principals, partners, Office of Academics representatives, evaluators and other supporters. The meeting schedule allows that at least three times a year, the major stakeholders from each 21stCCLC site have an opportunity to discuss issues relevant to their individual after school programs. Site discussions revolve around a variety of items and might include using evaluation data for program planning, budget and sustainability concerns, and program implementation. It is also a time to share grant wide information regarding federal and state funding and new initiatives and requirements.  Our meetings are also a time to hear member concerns, solve problems, and share individual success stories from the sites.
