All participants are required to provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact. For participants under the age of 18, the emergency contact must be someone other than the parent/person accompanying them.
At the time of registration, all participants are required to sign the Aquatics Program Digital Waiver. Minors must have an adult 18 years or older sign the waiver for them. No participant will be allowed to enter the pool until the waiver is signed, no exceptions.
The waiver reads:
By signing below, I confirm that I give permission for myself/my child to participate in the St. Paul Public Schools Community Education Aquatics program. I do hereby acknowledge that the sport of swimming and aquatics activities involve greater than normal risk of catastrophic injury, paralysis and even death, as well as minor injury. I agree to assume all risks, costs or losses sustained by me, my child or my child’s family in connection with participation in the aquatics program including classes, trainings and open swims. Due to the nature of our facilities, family changing areas are not available and children 7 years and older must use gender-appropriate locker rooms. Further, I hereby release, agree to hold harmless and indemnify the St. Paul Public Schools Community Education Aquatics program, its members, officers, directors, staff and volunteers from any claims, losses or expenses incurred by or on behalf of me, my child or my child’s family.
