Before you go to take your Knowledge test (for your permit) or your Road Test (for your license) be sure that you have everything you'll need.

Knowledge tests are available by appointment at select DVS locations and walk-ins at authorized Third-Party proctor locations. The in-person test is available in English, American Sign Language (ASL), Hmong, Karen, Russian, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Languages not previously listed can request a verbal exam at DVS exam stations by appointment only by calling 651.284.1234.

Search for a location to take your Knowledge Test for your permit or your Class D Road Test for your license.
